Gentech SCR Sensor Keeps Bus Fleet Running

The UK's largest bus and coach manufacturer had a requirement to measure the level and temperature of AdBlue® or Urea which is now being used in new vehicles as part of European legislation. The unit had to be robust and very low maintenance and the liquid had to be passed though a filter before use.

Gentech designs complex header assembly for truck applications

A major North American truck OEM required new fluid sensors and a metal assembly for their newly government mandated diesel exhaust fluid tanks. The metal assembly required stainless steel tubing to provide hot engine coolant to flow through the tank in below freezing conditions, along with sensors for temperature and fluid level sensing. The ability to accurately measure fluid levels was critical in providing information to on-board computers, as low condition slows down and eventually shuts off truck operation.

Gentech Flow Switch deployed in Nu-Heat heater system

Nu-Heat, the UK’s largest specialist supplier of warm water and under-floor heating systems, have found an excellent application for Gentech’s FS-13 Flow Switch in their EnergyMaster™ thermal efficient heater system.

The switch is an integral part of the thermal store cylinder which provides heating for the underfloor system and safe domestic hot water at mains pressure at an average temperature of 50°C, via a thermal exchange unit. More efficient than conventional boilers, the system saves up to 15% on heating bills.

High Pressure Cleaner tank level measurement

A manufacturer of High pressure cleaners had a requirement to monitor the level in the tank, which is used for the cleaning process. High pressure cleaners require that a level of water is always available. This water supplies the main pressure coil which heats the water. This water is then pressurised through the machine to the outlet hose and spray nozzles which then operate the cleaning process. If the water drops below a certain level the pressure valves in the system will be damaged.
